ROSELAND THEATRE

Original Painting ‘Justice’ commissioned by Founding Partner Jamie MacGillivray (20ft x 10ft); digitized, manufactured, engineered and installed on 158 Fundermax architectural panels totalling a surface area of 120ft x 60ft of which Christian was the lead artist, designer, liaison with the manufacturer, and project manager of the delivery. The beautiful work of art is installed on the historic Roseland, where Viola Desmond (as featured on the Canadian $10 Bill) stood up for civil rights. "Viola Desmond was a successful black businesswoman who was jailed, convicted and fined for defiantly refusing to leave a whites-only area of a movie theatre in 1946. Her court case was an inspiration for the pursuit of racial equality across Canada. Viola’s story is part of the permanent collection at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights."
